As one of the four pillars of our Mission, Education is one of the most important benefits of BOMA Silicon Valley membership, and our Education Committee is always looking for timely, engaging content that will provide our members with the tools and
knowledge they need to be successful commercial real estate professionals.
This is your opportunity to share your unique expertise and knowledge by being a content leader for one of BOMA Silicon Valley's 2025 events. Please
review the guidelines below before submitting your proposal. All submissions will be reviewed by our Education Committee as they are received, and the BOMA office will contact you if your proposal has been selected for a BOMA event.
Education Opportunities - while proposals are not required to fall in one of the categories below, here are education areas that are part of BOMA's annual education offerings:
-
RPA Courses - instructors qualified to teach one or more of the BOMI RPA designation-required courses (click here to view)
-
Emerging Leaders - education that focuses on early-career professionals; usually introductory courses in budgeting, CAM reconciliations, client relations, resume building, networking, and more
-
Emergency Preparedness - education that focuses on building readiness for fires, earthquakes, terrorism, workplace violence, civil unrest, and more
-
Energy & Sustainability - education that focuses on green building practices, clean energy, and sustainable practices
Proposal Guidelines - ensuring your proposal meets the guidelines below make it more likely to be chosen
-
Make it Compelling - with education content available through more mediums than ever before, our members benefit the most from education that cannot be found anywhere else
-
Share Your Knowledge - our members are professionals that are not interested in sales pitches; selling a product or service, instead of sharing knowledge and expertise will result in poor evaluations and loss of future speaking opportunities
-
Interaction is Key - our industry and our organization is social by nature; the ability for attendees to engage not only with the instructor, but fellow participants, helps foster relationship building and results in higher quality learning
outcomes
-
Content is the Highest Priority - selections will be made based off the quality of the content and potential for high-value learning; relationships with committee chairs/members will not be a factor in the selection process
Speaker Fees
As a nonprofit organization, BOMA generally does not pay speaker fees. However, speakers will be recognized at BOMA quarterly lunches and/or BOMA's Annual Celebration of Commercial Real Estate event.
