Participating on committees provides members the opportunity to help BOMA Silicon Valley in achieving its goals and objectives. Volunteer today to join a BOMA committee and become an integral part of the organization. It is a great way to network with fellow members, make a difference in our industry, and forge lifelong personal and professional connections. Associates Committee Plans the social and networking events by BOMA Silicon Valley Associate members. The Associate Committee meets the third Thursday of every other month from 11:00 am to noon. The meetings are open to all current Associate Members. A Principal member will speak during this "brown bag" lunch hour.
Associates Night (Trade Show) Committee Plans and coordinates the Associates Night event. The committee begins meeting in November and meets monthly. The event is held in April.
Awards Committee The Awards Committee manages The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Program, the most prestigious and comprehensive award program of its kind in the commercial real estate industry. The committee also promotes the BOMA 360 designation program and plans the annual Celebration of Commercial Real Estate Event.
Education CommitteeThe Education Committee oversees all of the educational courses through BOMI for the designations of RPA, FMA and SMA. The committee also develops educational and professional practice programs.
Emerging Leaders in Commercial Real EstateOrganized for professionals in the commercial real estate industry with seven years or less experience in the industry to meet and network. Over the course of the year, the committee plans mixers, educational workshops, outings and other opportunities to meet and network.
Golf Tournament Committee Plans, coordinates and promotes the annual Sherie Dunn Golf Tournament. The committee begins meeting in late January and the event is held in June.
Government Affairs Committee The Government Affairs Committee oversees BOMA Silicon Valley's legislative priorities and participates in government affairs at the BOMA CAL and BOMA International levels.
Membership Committee This Membership Committee is responsible for the membership growth of our association and developing new membership recruitment and retention strategies.
Share Your Holiday Committee This committee is responsible for raising funds through BOMA's annual Share Your Holiday event to feed needy families in the community and provide toys for children during the Holiday Season.
Sponsorship CommitteeThe Sponsorship Committee works with the Treasurer to create and recruit Association Sponsorships that meet the needs of our Associate members and support BOMA's members.
