Over the past couple of weeks, BOMA Silicon Valley has participated in a coalition of area commercial real estate organizations joining together to oppose a new commercial linkage fee, which is currently being studied by the City of San Jose. BOMA Silicon Valley was one of many local organizations, including the Silicon Valley Organization, NAIOP, the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, and commercial developers who recently met with San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo to voice their opposition, noting the devastating impacts it would have on the city’s ability to further develop the local economy, especially during an unprecedented health and economic crisis. BOMA Silicon Valley will continue to participate in the workgroup and advocate on behalf of our industry, while keeping members informed of any important updates.
