BOMA Elects 2018 Board of Directors

At the annual luncheon meeting in September, BOMA members unanimously voted by acclamation to elect their 2018 Board of Directors.  The new Board will be installed at the October 13 Celebration of Commercial Real Estate luncheon and begin their one year terms of office January 1, 2018.

Congratulations and Welcome!

PRESIDENT: Tiffany Lachlan. Lachlan is Associate Director for Asset Services at Cushman & Wakefield. She is current Vice President and served a term as a Director on the BOMA SV Board. Formerly a Board member with BOMA Phoenix, Lauchlan has participated in the 2016 BOMA SV TOBY awards.
VICE PRESIDENT: Jonathan Leder.  Leder is currently a Director on the Board. He is a Building Site Manager for Oracle. He chairs the Energy & Sustainable Management Committee and has participated in the local, regional and International TOBY awards programs.
TREASURER: LaToya Ross. Ross is the current Secretary of the Board and has served and volunteered on several committees including various events for Emerging Leaders Committee and the Golf Committee which she co-chaired in 2017. She is a property manager with Hudson Pacific Properties.
SECRETARY: Jennifer Mauro. Currently a Director on the Board, Mauro has been a BOMA member since 1996. She has been a participant and a judge for the TOBYs several times. She has also served on the Education & Emergency Preparedness committees. She is a Senior Property Manager with Swift Real Estate Partners.
DIRECTOR: Noreen Gillespie. Gillespie is currently BOMA Treasurer. She served as a 2015 Board Director and Co-chaired the 2015 TOBY Awards Committee. Gillespie is a Senior Property Manager at Harvest Properties, Inc.
DIRECTOR: Jaydee DeLuca. DeLuca is Senior Assistant Property Manager with Cushman & Wakefield.  A current BOMA member, she participates in the quarterly luncheons and many special events.
DIRECTOR: Brian Chavez. Chavez is a Property Manager with Transwestern. He currently serves on the Programs Committee. He has served as Chair of the Emerging Leaders Committee and served on the Energy & Sustainable Management Committee. Chavez is currently pursuing his RPA designation.
DIRECTOR: Tracy Ward. Ward is an Assistant General Manager with JLL. She currently serves on the Golf Committee.  She is a former Chair of the TOBY Committee and the Associates Committee, serving as their Representative to the Board in 2014. She has also volunteered with Share Your Holiday and the Emerging Leaders.
IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT: Olga Ornelas. Ornelas is a General Manager with Swift Real Estate Partners. She is our current President. She served as VP in 2016, the Awards Committee Chair in 2013 and 2014, and as our BOMA Silicon Valley Treasurer in 2014.
ASSOCIATE REPRESENTATIVE: Steven Delmonico. Delmonico is a Facility Solutions Sales Professional for Veritiv Corporation. He currently serves as the Vice Chair for the Associates Committee and has volunteered for Share Your Holiday, Energy and Sustainable Management, Awards, and Sherie Dunn Memorial Golf Tournament Committees.

Our annual Celebration of Commercial Real Estate on October 13 at the Westin Sainte Claire provides BOMA with the opportunity to recognize our colleagues.  In addition to the installation of our 2018 Board of Directors, the program features recognition of The Outstanding Buildings of the Year, volunteer service, and scholarship recipients.  Congratulations to these colleagues for their work and support of BOMA and the commercial real estate industry in Silicon Valley.

Emerging Leaders Dues Award

The Emerging Leaders dues fund was created in 2014 to assist a CRE professional with less than 7 years experience in attaining BOMA membership.  The "dues scholarship" requires the recipient in the awarded year to participate on a committee or BOMA educational course.

Sherie Dunn Memorial Scholarship Awardees
Named for BOMA Silicon Valley's first president, the scholarship encourages continuing education for all levels of property management professionals. In 2016 the Board expanded the scholarships to a quarterly program providing paid registration for one of the following each quarter:  1) BOMI class offered for a designation or certificate program anywhere in the USA, 2) A qualifying college level real estate course or 3) A real estate school course to count towards a CA BRE license or license renewal.
